Frequently Asked Questions

About Celebrant Ceremonies

What exactly is a celebrant?

A celebrant is an independent ceremony professional who creates and conducts personalized ceremonies. Unlike registrars who must follow specific legal formats, celebrants have complete freedom to craft ceremonies that are uniquely yours – in any location, with any content you choose.

Booking & Planning

When should I book my celebrant?

As soon as you've set your date! Popular dates (especially in wedding season) fill up quickly. I recommend booking at least 6-12 months in advance, though I occasionally have availability for shorter timescales.

Ceremony Details

Where can we have our ceremony?

Anywhere you like! Beautiful venues, private gardens, outdoor locations, your family home, meaningful places – the choice is completely yours. I work regularly across Gloucestershire, Cheltenham, Cirencester, Stroud, the Cotswolds, and Bristol.

Vows & Content

Do we have to write our own vows?

Not at all! You can write your own vows, use traditional vows, adapt existing ones, or work with me to craft vows that express exactly what you want to say. I provide full support either way.

Practical Questions

What about bad weather for outdoor ceremonies?

Always have a backup plan! Most venues offer indoor alternatives. I also recommend clear-sided marquees or beautiful umbrellas as elegant backup options. I'm experienced in adapting to British weather and will help ensure your ceremony is beautiful regardless of what the sky decides to do.

What are your prices?

Wedding ceremonies and vow renewals start at £750. Elopement ceremonies (under 10 guests) start at £700. This includes everything detailed in my service pages – all meetings, unlimited contact, ceremony creation, edits, rehearsal if wanted, and your ceremony day.
